question Reloads used to be easy — now half of them feel like homework

Bit of a rant, bit of a question... is it just me or have reload deals gone downhill lately?

Been playing long enough that I still remember when a midweek top-up offer was pretty straightforward. Chuck in 50 or 100, get a decent extra bit on top, play through it, done. Now I keep seeing stuff with weird opt-in windows, tiny max cashout caps, certain games excluded, and turnover that looks alright until you read the fine print properly. By the time I finish checking the terms I'm not even keen anymore.

The ones that get me are the promos that look solid in the email or lobby banner, then you find out the bonus balance has to be used in some exact order, or high-volatility slots barely count, or you only had a couple of hours to claim it. Bloody annoying. I'm not saying every deal is rubbish, there are still a few decent ones around, but heaps of them feel built to sound better than they actually are.

These days I pretty much look at four things straight away: wagering, max withdrawal from bonus winnings, whether your usual games contribute properly, and if it's a real reload or one of those cashback things dressed up as something better. If any of that looks dodgy, I skip it and move on.

Curious how the rest of you handle it now. Do you still bother chasing the promos, or only jump on a few specific ones? And what's the first red flag that makes you go nah, not worth it mate?

Same here. I basically split them into two piles now: stuff I can use without changing how I play, and stuff that turns into homework. Had one not long ago where a random little credit hit after I’d already deposited and suddenly the whole balance was tied up in bonus rules. Ever since then I check the promo page before I put money in, because once they mix funds around it gets annoying fast.
