question For the Aus crowd, what separates a decent pokie site from a dodgy one?

Been curious what everyone here actually checks first before signing up anywhere to play slots. Not talking about the flashy welcome stuff so much, more the basics that matter once the novelty wears off.

For me it usually starts with the boring bits - does it take AUD properly, are the withdrawal times realistic, is support actually reachable, and does the game library have more than the same recycled few providers. Mobile play matters too because heaps of us are just having a spin on the couch or during the arvo, not sitting at a desktop like it's 2012.

I also reckon there are a few things newer players miss a bit, like max cashout rules on promos, whether ID checks get dragged out, and if the site makes RTP info easy to find or sort by. Some places look decent at first glance then you dig around and it gets a bit iffy pretty quick.

So yeah, what are your non-negotiables these days if you're playing from Australia? Keen to hear what people here pay attention to, and what red flags make you bail straight away.

Big one for me now is the boring account side of it. If I can't find deposit caps, timeout, self-exclude stuff in about 30 seconds, I'm out. Learned the hard way that when a site makes you email support for basic limits, it's gonna be a pain in the arse for everything else too. Also check if unfinished spins recover clean on mobile, because nothing does my head in faster than a feature dropping out mid-session.

Yep, and flaky mobile usually shows itself during free spins or when the connection drops for a second. I always look for a proper game history and some kind of round recovery, because once a session glitches you need something support can actually check instead of trying to explain it from memory.
