Usually I just muck around on the pokies, but I spent a fair bit of time on the live tables over the weekend and yeah... I get why people are keen on them. Feels way less flat when there is an actual person dealing and the game keeps moving without that weird dead silence you get on regular digital tables.
I had a go at blackjack first, then roulette for a while. Stream quality was pretty solid on my phone and laptop, no major lag, which surprised me a bit. Dealers were decent too, not robotic or anything. A couple actually had a bit of personality which made it easier to stick around for more than ten minutes.
The part that got me was how easy it is to burn through the balance faster than you think. On slots you sort of expect the spins to fly, but the side bets and little extras on the table games can chew through your cash pretty bloody quick if you are not paying attention. I also found some tables way too busy, heaps of people in chat, seats full, all that. Bit annoying when you just want to sit down and play without stuffing around.
Roulette was probably the most chill for me. Blackjack was fun but I reckon it feels better when the table pace suits you. Some were nice and relaxed, some felt like they were trying to rush the whole thing along. Haven’t spent much time on baccarat yet so not sure if I will get into that one.
Anyway, first proper impression was mostly positive. More social, more immersive, bit more nerve-racking too lol. Curious what everyone else rates best out of the live options... blackjack, roulette, baccarat, crazy game shows, whatever. Any favourites worth a crack?
