question Rookie question: what do you usually start with when you jump on the tables?

Been mostly a pokies bloke for ages, but lately I've been getting a bit keen to have a proper crack at the card and wheel stuff on casino sites. Not talking big bets or anything, just a low-stakes muck around and see what clicks.

For the regulars here, where do you even start? Live blackjack, roulette, baccarat, something else? And do you reckon the live dealer setup is actually worth it, or do you just stick with the quicker standard versions? Every time I open the lobby there's heaps of tables, side bets, different limits... bit of a maze honestly.

If you've got a go-to for beginners, or a game that taught you the ropes without chewing through your balance too fast, chuck it in. Also keen to know what to avoid, because some of it looks fun and some of it looks like a bloody bankroll trap.

I'd actually push back on starting with live stuff, mate. Looks more beginner friendly than it is, but the waiting around, chat going off and all the side bet buttons can make it more confusing than the plain versions. I'd start with straight blackjack if you want to learn decisions, or baccarat if you just want something simple. Roulette is fun but that's the one that quietly chews through my balance the fastest.

yeah I agree with skipping live first. I only got into those once I stopped misclicking and actually knew what I was looking at lol. Genuine question for people who play baccarat a lot though, does it get easy pretty quickly? I still open it, stare at the roadmaps for a second, then back out.
