question Roulette and blackjack on the apps feel a bit soulless — am I alone on that?

Maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy, but I reckon a lot of the card and wheel stuff on casino sites feels pretty dead compared to sitting at a real table. Even some of the live dealer rooms look flashy as hell, but the vibe still isn’t there for me. Feels rushed, heaps of side bets shoved in your face, and half the time everyone’s just silently clicking away.

Blackjack is the big one for me. The super fast versions do my head in. Barely any time to think, and before you know it you’ve burnt through your stack in one lazy arvo. Roulette can be alright for a quick spin, but even that starts feeling like tapping buttons instead of actually playing anything. Baccarat I never really got the hype with anyway.

Maybe I’m being harsh though. A few mates swear by the live rooms and say they’d rather jump on from home than muck around going out, which fair enough. Convenience is hard to argue with. Still feels like the operators have leaned way too hard into speed and gimmicks instead of making it actually enjoyable.

Curious where everyone else lands on it — do you genuinely enjoy playing blackjack, roulette, baccarat etc on the sites, or is it more just a convenient fix when you can’t get to a proper casino? And if you do rate it, what versions are actually decent?

I reckon the pace matters more than whether it's live or not. The slower blackjack rooms with no silly extras feel way less like button bashing. Have you mostly been landing on the turbo stuff, or have you tried the tables where the dealer actually gives you a second to think?
