question Where’s everyone landing these days — live blackjack, baccarat or roulette?

I’ve been around the casino side of things for a fair while now and keep drifting back to the tables whenever pokies start doing my head in. Lately though I’m not sure what the best go is. A lot of the live stuff feels flashier than it used to be, heaps more side bets, dealers talking non-stop, weird camera angles, and some tables just crawl along if half the seats are filled with people taking forever.

For the regulars here, what are you actually sticking with now? Straight blackjack with basic strategy and no silly extras, roulette, baccarat, or the faster RNG versions when you can’t be bothered waiting? I used to be pretty keen on blackjack, but some of the rule sets look a bit rough now once you dig into them. Baccarat still feels clean and simple, but maybe I’m missing something. Roulette I only really touch when I feel like having a punt without thinking too much.

Mostly curious what experienced players reckon is still worth their time these days, especially at low to mid stakes. Do you chase the better rules, the faster pace, better promos tied to the tables, or just play whatever feels less painful on a Sunday arvo? Chuck in what you’re playing and why, keen to hear where everyone’s at with it.

Yep, that's pretty much why I barely touch the live blackjack now. If the lobby is selling the side bet harder than the actual hand, nah, I just move on. I still end up on baccarat more than anything else because it's got less nonsense around it and I don't feel like I'm being herded into every extra button on the screen.

When you say you just move on, what are you looking for first? Genuinely asking because I keep telling myself I'll be stricter with blackjack, then I sit down and only notice the dodgy bits after a few rounds.

I actually don't chase the fast RNG versions much at all. They're quicker, sure, but that's exactly the problem for me, I play worse and burn through a session before I've even settled in. Live baccarat still feels fine if you mute the chatter and ignore all the extra nonsense bolted onto the interface.

roulette is my danger one tbh. Starts as a cheeky punt, then you realise you've just been tossing chips around on autopilot. Also getting real suss of the flashy studio setups now, half of them feel like a game show with cards shoved in.
