Lately I’ve been trying to sort the decent casinos from the dodgy ones before signing up, and bloody hell there’s a lot of fluff out there. Half the stuff you read feels like someone gave every site 9.8/10 and called it a day. Doesn’t tell you much when you actually want to know the basics like payouts, verification dramas, game range, support being useless at 11pm, that sort of thing.
I’m more keen on real punter feedback than polished rating sites, but even then you get the odd sook who got locked out after doing something dumb, so it’s hard to know what to trust. If you’re checking a new site, what do you look for first? Fast cashouts? Whether they sting you with weird bonus rules? If live chat actually answers? I usually scroll straight to the complaints and see if the same issue keeps popping up.
Curious how everyone else does it. You lot got any go-to places for proper player opinions, or any red flags that make you bail straight away? Would be good to hear how other people sort the good ones from the rubbish.

I got caught once by a site that looked normal till I tried to pull money out, then suddenly there was a whole extra round of docs and vague 'security checks' that were nowhere obvious before. Since then I go straight to banking and the terms page first. If they make the cashout bits hard to find, I get suspicious pretty fast. Maybe I'm a bit jumpy now lol

Do you guys check the account tools before signing up too? Stuff like deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion. I’ve noticed the shadier ones either hide that page or make it weirdly hard to get to, and that tells me plenty before I even bother making an account.

same here mate, but I look at when those complaints landed as well. If a heap of them show up in one burst, I pay more attention. Random whinging spread over ages, not so much. I also watch whether the rep actually answers people or just posts canned rubbish when cashouts get mentioned, reckon that gives them away pretty quick.

Best tip if you're keen on trying a new one: first deposit small and skip the bonus. Just play a bit and try a withdrawal early if you can. Way better finding out how annoying they are before you load up properly. I also peek at the game providers list because a lobby full of names I don't recognise puts me off straight away.
