question Which casino write-ups are actually useful for Aussie players?

Been trying to sort through a bunch of casino write-ups lately and heaps of them read exactly the same. They slap a big rating on a site, then barely say anything about the stuff I actually want to know before signing up.

For me it's more like: did withdrawals land when they said they would, was verification a pain, were the bonus terms dodgy, did support reply at a normal hour for us here, and is the pokies lobby any good or just packed with random filler games nobody touches.

Curious what everyone else checks first when reading about a site. Do you trust forum posts more than review pages? Are there certain red flags that make you move on straight away?

If you've got a site, reviewer, or even just a way of filtering out the rubbish, chuck it in here. Would be good to get a proper Aussie view on what info is actually useful and what is just fluff.

Do you lot pay much attention to who actually runs the site, or only once you've already decided to try it? I keep seeing places where the ownership/licence bit is tucked away somewhere weird and I'm never sure if that's just normal or a sign to leave it alone.

yeah the hidden ownership stuff gives me the ick straight away. I signed up to one a while back that looked fine till I tried to cash out, then it turned into resend this doc, crop that one again, same copy-paste support reply over and over. Since then I trust forum whinges way more than those shiny write-ups.
