Been bouncing around a few online bookies lately for NRL/AFL and I’m curious what everyone here judges them on first. For me it usually starts with whether the app is easy enough to use and if the odds hold up once you go to place the bet... nothing worse than seeing a decent price then getting clipped straight away.
I’m also keen to hear which ones have been solid lately with withdrawals, verification, live betting, same game multis, limits, all that stuff. Some look good at first then the promos dry up, or the interface gets clunky, or support goes missing when you actually need help. Doesn’t even have to be the top one, just the ones you reckon are reliable and not a headache.
If you’ve used a few, chuck in what stood out for you — good or bad. Fast cashouts? Painful account checks? Better for racing than footy? Not after a sales pitch, just real punter opinions before I settle on one or two and stop mucking around.

If you're mostly on footy, are you taking prices early in the week or closer to kickoff? I only ask because a bookie can feel fine on a quiet arvo, then turn into hard work once lineups drop and the markets start moving.

Do you use desktop much or just your phone? I've had a couple that were totally fine in the app then a complete mess on browser.

Yeah I agree with Jules on the timing part. You learn more about a bookie when news hits and everyone piles in than you do just poking around the lobby, and if the bet slip starts jumping about or changing markets between mobile and desktop I usually stop bothering with it.
