question Are any bookie write-ups actually honest anymore?

Bit of a rant but I swear half the stuff you find when you're trying to check out a new bookie is complete fluff. Every site says the same thing - great odds, easy app, fast payouts, amazing promos... yeah right. Feels like they give every mob 9.7 out of 10 and call it a day.

I only really care about the stuff that actually matters once you've signed up and chucked a bet on: do they mess you around on withdrawals, are the limits rubbish, does the app freeze during NRL/AFL, do they start restricting winning punters straight away, and is support any good when something goes sideways. That's the real stuff, not all the polished nonsense.

So where do you lot actually go for decent opinions on betting sites here? Forum posts? Reddit? Just word of mouth from mates? Keen to know what people trust because most of the review pages I've seen look like paid dribble dressed up as advice.

Also if you've found any write-ups that were actually spot on about a bookie, chuck them in. And if there are sites you reckon are full of it, name them too... no point pretending they're all legit.

I stopped trusting comparison pages ages ago. The only stuff I reckon is worth reading is forum chat where people come back after trying to withdraw or after the bookie suddenly starts giving them grief. If a site has heaps of shiny ratings but no real stories from actual punters, I just bail on it.
