Been looking around at a few different bookies lately and figured I'd ask here instead of just relying on whatever pops up first on Google. When you're trying to work out if a site is actually worth using, what do you check first?
For me it's usually the basics before anything else - how quick the payouts are, whether verification turns into a bloody drama, if the odds are decent on AFL/NRL, and whether the app is smooth or constantly freezing right when you're trying to chuck a bet on. I also pay attention to limits, live betting lag, and how sneaky the promo terms are. Some sites look good at first glance then you dig a bit and it's heaps of rollover stuff or weird withdrawal rules.
Keen to hear what matters most to everyone else. Do you care more about odds and markets, or stuff like support, cashout working properly, same game multi options, that sort of thing? And if you've found any review sites or forum threads that are actually useful and not just fluff, drop them in here mate.

gonna disagree a bit mate, I don't even start with payouts. First thing I look for is whether they chop your stake the second you show a clue. Loads of bookies are happy while you're just having a punt, then you put together a few decent picks and suddenly the limits get silly. If that happens, slick app or fancy promos mean bugger all to me.

I'm pretty skeptical of most writeups people find through search tbh. If the whole thing is talking up bonuses and how clean the homepage looks, I stop reading. The useful stuff is always buried in real user comments: what happens when docs get requested after a win, whether live markets get frozen at the worst moment, whether rules get changed quietly. If a review skips that part, it's basically wallpaper.
