question Most betting site write-ups are rubbish tbh

Bit of a rant, but heaps of those write-ups about betting sites feel completely cooked to me. Same fluff every time - "great interface", "lots of markets", "fast payouts" - yeah right, according to who?

What I actually want to know is the stuff that matters once you chuck real money in there. Do they drag their feet on withdrawals? Do they suddenly get picky with verification after a win? Are the odds decent or do they trim everything to death? And how bad is the app when you're trying to get a bet on in the arvo and it starts freezing at the worst possible moment?

I reckon punter feedback in forums is way more useful than those polished site breakdowns. If a bookie is good, people usually say why in plain English. If it's dodgy, same deal - someone will mention the limits, promo carry-on, account restrictions, whatever. That's the stuff I trust.

Curious what everyone here actually looks for when sizing up a new bookie. Best sign it's worth a crack? Biggest red flag that makes you bail straight away? Keen to hear which ones have treated you fairly and which ones gave you the bloody runaround.

Yep, this bit matters most to me too. Do you lot do a little test cashout early or just wait till you actually want the money? I reckon that tells you more than any fancy writeup.

I stopped trusting those ranking pages ages ago. Soon as a site is screaming about boosts and custom bet builders everywhere, I assume the normal prices are shaved and the promo terms are going to be a maze.

I actually do the small test first now. Tiny deposit, a couple of bets, then I try to take something back out before I use it properly. Had one recently where the cashier kept bouncing between pending screens and extra prompts, and it wasn't enough drama to call it dodgy, but enough for me to move on. Support is worth checking too, even with a basic question.

Biggest red flag for me is when they seem sweet as until you jag a few wins, then your stake gets chopped to nothing. If a book only likes you while you're losing, stuff that.
