Been mucking around with different ways of sizing spins lately just to see if any of it actually changes the feel of a session. Tried the classic double-up-after-a-loss thing for a bit, then the opposite where you press a little after a win, and then a few sessions where I just left the stake alone the whole time.
We all know the reels are gonna do whatever they want, so I’m not pretending I found some magic trick here lol. Just felt like the flat approach messed with my head the least. I wasn’t chasing, wasn’t doing that "just one more raise and I’m back" rubbish, and weirdly I lasted longer on the same bankroll. Not saying it won more, just felt less cooked by the end of it.
The double-up style looked alright for about five minutes, then a rough patch came along and suddenly the spin price got a bit spicy for no good reason. Pressing after a hit was more fun, I’ll give it that, especially when a feature landed while the stake was up... but half the time I’d give it back anyway. Flat felt boring at first, then kind of settled into no dramas.
Curious what you lot reckon. Anyone actually stick to one staking routine on pokies, or do you all end up winging it depending on the arvo and the mood? If you’ve tried the loss-chasing stuff or the press-on-wins stuff for a decent stretch, did it help you stay disciplined or just make the swings feel worse?
