question Micros are getting way more switched on lately

Been grinding cash and a few small-field tourneys the last couple of weeks, and yeah... the games feel different now. Even the lower stakes aren't playing like the old days where half the table was happy to stack off with any top pair. Seeing heaps more small flop bets, more check-backs in spots where people used to just mash it, and way less random spew.

Reckon all the training content and solver stuff has really filtered down now. Not saying everyone's suddenly a gun, far from it, but the average player seems a fair bit more sorted. A lot of the easy money lines feel way less automatic than they used to be. If you're still running the same old ABC stuff and expecting blokes to donate, it's getting rough.

Big one for me has been value betting more carefully and not forcing bluffs in stubborn pools. Some regs are defending wider pre and then playing pretty disciplined after the flop, which used to be rare at these stakes. Also seeing newer players come in already knowing opening charts and standard sizings, which wasn't nearly as common a while back.

Curious what everyone else is seeing right now. Has your approach changed much this year? Tightened up, gone thinner for value, doing more table selection, or just accepting the micros aren't the soft little goldmine they were? Keen to hear what other regulars reckon.

I don't really buy that the average low-stakes player is suddenly solid. A lot of them look tidier pre because they've memorised opens and flop sizings, then the hand goes completely sideways once stacks get awkward. If anything I reckon the pool is just more split now: a few decent regs, a bunch of people copying charts, and the same old leaks once you get to turn and river.
