question Seems the low-stakes tables have got sharper lately

Not sure if it's just the rooms I've been in lately, but the last month or two the low and mid stakes games have felt a fair bit different. Way more 3-betting from late position, heaps more tiny c-bets, and even some of the old regulars who used to just limp-call all arvo are showing up with proper river pressure now. Feels like all the solver clips and training vids have finally filtered down to the everyday tables.

I’m not having a sook about it, just saying the adjustment matters now if you’re still rolling with the same habits that printed a couple of years back. I’ve tightened up a bit out of position, stopped hero-calling spots that used to be easy, and I’m watching who actually barrels turn and river versus who’s just doing the automatic flop stab because they saw it online. Big difference there.

Curious what you lot are changing right now. Are you defending less from the blinds, 4-betting more against the clicky-aggressive types, value betting thinner, what? Keen to hear what’s working for people because the old low-stakes “wait for top pair and get paid” setup feels a bit cooked lately.

I don't fully buy that the games got smarter tbh. Feels more like people copied the annoying bits off training vids and skipped the hard part. At mine it's heaps of flop pokes then they just shut down, so I've actually opened up a touch in position instead of going into a shell.

You talking anonymous tables or the usual named pool? Big difference. I get twitchy when people say defend less from the blinds as a blanket thing, because loads of these lads still do the cute small flop bet and then have nothing once you make them keep going.

Funny thing for me, it changes by time more than anything. Some sessions feel like everyone's watched the same clips, then Sunday arvo rolls around and it's back to call-call-show one pair. I stopped trying to get fancy in those weird middle spots and just went back to betting my made hands harder, been less stressful if nothing else.

nah I reckon folding more from the blinds across the board is where people leak. The clicky aggro types love seeing instant folds, that's the whole reason they keep peppering those tiny bets. I'm peeling a bit wider against the serial stabbers and making them show they can fire turn without blinking.
