Been seeing heaps more poker study stuff pop up lately — short solver vids, preflop charts, little hand breakdowns on socials, even random Discord groups sharing spots. Feels like even the micro and small-stakes crowd are way more switched on than they were a year or two ago.
Not saying every table is suddenly full of crushers or anything, but some spots that used to be pretty standard feel a bit different now. More 3-betting from late position, less weird spew in certain pools, and more players putting you in annoying spots on turns and rivers instead of just fit-or-fold stuff. Could just be me running into a certain type of player lately though.
What I’m curious about is whether this stuff is actually filtering down properly, or if people are just memorising a few charts and making a mess of the rest. I’ve seen both tbh... bloke folds way too much in one hand, then randomly clicks buttons in the next. Still, the general level feels like it’s creeping up.
Anyone else reckon the games are getting sharper because of all the training content floating around now? Keen to hear if cash players and tourney grinders are seeing the same thing, especially at the lower stakes.
