question Weekly top-up promos — decent value or just extra wagering?

Been checking a few sites lately and the regular top-up offers all look better in the email than they do once you open the fine print. A fair few of them are basically a small match with pretty chunky wagering, and some chuck in game restrictions that make them a lot less exciting than they sound at first glance.

The ones I reckon are actually worth considering usually have a low minimum deposit, clear expiry, and no weird max cashout hiding in the terms. If it needs a decent deposit just to get a tiny extra bit of credit, or the playthrough is up around the silly range, I normally give it a miss. Also worth checking whether pokies count 100% or if they trim it back depending on the games.

Another thing that catches people out is the timing. Some places run these every week, some only on certain days, and some send them only to selected players. A promo can look alright on paper, then you realise it is only valid for a few hours on a Tuesday arvo and you have to opt in through a link from your inbox... bit of a muck around really.

For anyone who actually uses these regularly, what do you look for first? Wagering, max bet rules, max win, game weighting, how often they run? Keen to hear which ones people think are genuinely playable and which ones are just there to sound good.

Yeah the payment method catches people too. I've had it where my usual deposit option didn't count for the offer at all, so the little extra never showed up. If I need to go hunting through terms just to see whether my normal way of topping up qualifies, I cbf.
