Been keeping an eye on the mobile side lately and it really does feel like a bunch of casinos have finally worked out most of us are spinning on our phones now, not sitting at a laptop all night. Last year heaps of apps were basically just clunky site wrappers with a logo slapped on top. This year I've seen a few updates roll through and some are actually usable for once — quicker logins, cleaner slot lobbies, less random crashing when you're halfway through a feature.
For me the real test is dead simple. Can I find the pokies fast, does the app remember where I was, does the balance update properly, and can I cash out without getting bounced into some dodgy browser page for half the process. If the thing still lags during bonus rounds or makes ID checks a bloody mission, I'm not keeping it installed no matter how flashy it looks in the store.
Keen to hear what everyone's using in 2026. Which apps feel properly polished now, which ones are still pretending to be apps, and has anyone found one that's genuinely good for slots on mobile rather than just passable if you're bored in the arvo?
