Been trying a bunch lately and heaps of them still feel half-baked... basically just the mobile site shoved into an app with bigger buttons. Pokies lobby takes ages to load, search is rubbish, a few games are missing for no clear reason, then it freezes the second you jump off wi-fi. Bit of a pain when you just want a quick spin in the arvo.
What I care about now is pretty simple: fast login, smooth games, easy cashier, no weird crashes in the middle of a bonus round, and a layout that doesn’t make me hunt around like an idiot. If I can’t find withdrawals in 10 seconds or it chews through battery like mad, I’m probably binning it. Nice promos are fine, but a clean app beats flashy offers every time for me.
Keen to hear what you lot are actually using this year. Which ones have a proper pokies range and run clean on mobile without all the usual nonsense? If there’s one you’ve stuck with for more than a month, chuck it in here and say why.

Little tip from too much stuffing around with these things: on Android, switch battery optimisation off for the casino app before you judge it. I reckon half the freezing people cop is the phone killing it in the background, especially when you bounce off wi-fi. I also had a look through this forum's app guide before downloading a couple, worth a squiz if you're narrowing them down.

Yeah the battery setting thing is real, and I'm with you on the cashier being the make or break. If an app logs me out the second I swap over to my banking app, I'm done with it. The ones I've kept are the ones that drop you straight back into the same game instead of rebooting the whole lobby every time.
