question Which mobile casino app is actually worth keeping in 2026?

Been playing more on my phone than desktop lately, usually just a few spins in the arvo when I can't be bothered firing up the laptop, and heaps of the mobile options still feel pretty average.

Half of them seem like a website stuffed into an app, buttons in weird spots, pokies take ages to load, then it logs you out right when you're in the middle of something... bit of a pain.

I'm not even chasing massive promos tbh. Just want one that's smooth, easy to find games on, doesn't go wonky during deposits or cashouts, and ideally doesn't chew through battery like a bloody vacuum.

What are you lot using this year? Keen to hear which ones are actually decent for slots on mobile, and which ones you'd delete straight away. I'm on Android, mate's on iPhone, so either way helps.

Are you after a proper store app, or are you fine with something that just runs well on mobile? Asking because the login/deposit annoyances are usually way worse on those lazy wrapper apps, while a decent mobile setup can feel totally different.

nah, I stopped giving the wrapped mobile ones a chance. Soon as I tab out for a text or check something, half of them chuck me back to login. If I'm having a punt on the train, that's enough for me to bin it.

See I've had the reverse a few times. Some of the native apps get bloated after updates and then the lobby starts stuttering for no good reason. I care more about whether I can mute all the popups, sounds and little promo animations, that's usually the stuff killing battery and making it feel slow.

Little tip from too much trial and error: before you settle on one, do a tiny test run first. Install from the official store page, log in, scroll around for a bit, then try the smallest cashout you're comfortable with and leave the app in the background to see if it boots you. If you're on Android I usually start from here when I'm sussing one out: https://play.google.com/store/apps
