I went down a bit of a rabbit hole this week reading different race-day previews and tipster pages before having a crack, mostly the free stuff, and honestly I’m still not sure what’s genuinely useful and what’s just filler. A couple looked decent at first, proper comments on tempo and barriers and all that, then you scroll down and it feels like they’ve tipped half the field lol.
The ones I got the most out of were the previews that actually explained why they liked a runner, not just “top chance” and move on. If someone mentions track pattern, map, whether the thing will handle a wet deck, I’m way more keen to pay attention. Same with roughies — if they chuck in one at odds and there’s a real reason, I reckon that’s way better than the usual short-price stuff everyone already saw.
Just curious what everyone else reads before the jump. Form guides, stable mail, social accounts, YouTube blokes, whatever. Not chasing miracle winners or any of that, just trying to work out which sources are actually worth 5 minutes with a coffee in the arvo and which ones are a bloody waste of time.
