question Stable mail, speed maps or just vibes?

Been trying to sharpen up my Saturday racing bets a bit and I’m curious what people here actually lean on before backing one. Form guides are fine, speed maps help a bit, and I don’t mind watching replays when I’ve got the time, but half the time I still end up second guessing myself 10 mins before jump lol.

Do you blokes follow any tipsters that are actually worth a look, or is it mostly doing your own homework and ignoring the noise? Keen to know if anyone uses paid ratings or those subscription services, or if the free stuff is enough if you know what you’re looking at. Metro meetings, provincials, even the rough country cards on a random arvo... whatever works really.

Not chasing miracle picks or any “best thing all day” rubbish, just trying to work out what people genuinely find useful. Stable mail? Track patterns? Jockey/trainer combos? Late market moves? Chuck in what you reckon, mate.

I reckon most tipsters are just adding noise. Best thing I ever did was stop reading every preview and just stick to 3 things: map, replay, and whether the horse actually handles the ground. If one of those is off, I leave it alone. Late market only matters to me if there's been a track change or the yard was spruiking one then suddenly goes quiet.
