Been punting the nags for a fair while now and I swear the game feels noisier than it used to. Used to be I could do the form the night before, mark a few overs, watch how the track was playing and be pretty happy with it. Now there’s a million opinions flying around before the first at Randwick or Flemington and half of them feel like recycled rubbish.
So who are you blokes actually following these days for decent race intel? Not after miracle picks or some mug multi page, more keen on the stuff that genuinely helps - speed maps that are worth a look, sectionals, trial watchers, stable mail, track bias guys, whatever you reckon still gives you an edge. I mostly do my own form and look hard at tempo and wet track profiles, but I’m always happy to nick a good angle if someone’s onto one.
Also curious whether anyone here is doing better from metro meetings or if the value’s more in provincials and midweeks now. I’ve had some solid results backing off parade and late market moves, but there are days the market just cooks me and I’m left scratching my head. Chuck in who you trust, what you ignore, and any routines you’ve got before the arvo starts.
