question Sectionals, barriers or stable mail — what are you leaning on lately?

Been seeing heaps more racing chat this week with the spring meetings rolling on, and everyone seems split on what matters most right now. Some are swearing by sectionals, some are all about late yard mail, and a few reckon track pattern is the only thing worth watching once the first couple are run.

I am genuinely curious what people here are using when they line one up these days. Barrier draw? jockey changes? map and tempo stuff? wet track runners? I had a decent little run just backing horses that looked suited once the rain hit, then got absolutely stitched when the pattern changed mid-arvo... so now I am questioning half of what I thought was solid.

If you have got any angles that are holding up lately, chuck them in. Even just stuff you ignore now because it turns out to be noise. Keen to hear what other punters are actually paying attention to at the moment.

I reckon track pattern gets blamed for way more losers than it should. If I can see the map, who's fit enough to hold a spot, and whether the price has already been smashed, that's usually enough for me. Yard whispers are where I do my dough most often.
