Been seeing a fair bit more chatter lately about set session banks and little step-up routines, not just here but in a couple of punter groups as well. Feels like this month every second post is about units, stop-loss numbers, reset points, all that stuff.
Not talking about magic systems or get-rich nonsense. More the old-school habit of actually walking in with a plan and sticking to it. Stuff like 100 units for the session, fixed bet size for most of it, maybe a small nudge after a decent hit, then cashing out or calling it when the number's hit. Bit dry maybe, but it saves a lot of the dumb chasing.
I reckon the shift is happening because balances disappear bloody quick now if you just wing it. Higher vol games, more bonus buys, people punting in the arvo on the phone while doing three other things... easy to lose the plot. Having some sort of structure suddenly looks pretty smart.
For me, the simple setups are still the only ones worth bothering with. Fixed unit, hard loss cap, hard collect point. Once it turns into a fancy ladder with six rules and a recovery phase, nah mate. Dead spins don't care about your spreadsheet.
Curious what everyone's actually using right now on pokies though. Flat bets? Small press after a feature? Separate bank for base spins and buys? Chuck it in here. Keen to hear the real-world stuff people are running, especially if you've changed it recently.
