question Flat stakes, laddering, or something else?

Curious what people here actually use when they sit down for a pokies session. Not talking about miracle stuff or "beat the machine" carry-on, just the way you handle your stake size and bankroll while you play.

I keep seeing a few common approaches come up: same amount every spin, start small and step up after a hit, chase losses a bit, or set a hard cap and never go past it. I get that the reels are random either way, so I’m not asking what guarantees a win — more whether certain methods help you stay in control for longer or stop you from punting like a goose in a bad arvo.

Do any of you reckon one approach works better just from a session management point of view? Like, if you’re playing with a fixed budget, do you split it into chunks, raise only on bonus money, drop back after a few dead spins, that sort of thing?

Keen to hear what people actually do in real play, especially if you’ve tried a few different systems and found one that suits your style better.

yeah that bit is exactly it. I split my bankroll into little chunks before I start, and if one chunk's gone I don't reload straight away, even when I'm tempted. Only time I nudge the bet up is after a decent feature and even then it's just for a few spins, otherwise I end up chasing and doing my dough.
