Been seeing a few mentions this week of casinos here giving people a little freebie just for joining, like spins or a small bit of credit before you even chuck money in. Not talking massive promos or anything, just those little starter offers. Kinda felt like they disappeared for a while, so now I’m wondering if more sites are doing it again or if I’ve just had weird timing with ads and forum posts.
Anyone actually claimed one recently and found it was legit? Keen to know if the terms were decent or if it was the usual bloody maze of wagering, tiny max cashout, instant ID check, that sort of thing. I don’t mind a muck-around if it’s straightforward, but some of them make you jump through heaps of hoops for bugger all.
If you’ve spotted any good ones lately, or even ones to avoid, chuck them in here. Curious whether this is becoming a trend again in the Aussie market or just a short burst of promo stuff.

yeah I reckon they're still kicking around, just hidden better than they used to be. A lot of places tuck the little join-up freebies behind registration or email opt-in now, so people think they've vanished. If the spins land automatically I'll try it, if it's one of those bonus balances with a weird cashout cap I bin it straight away.

nah, I don't buy that they're really back. Feels more like the same recycled promo with a new banner on it, then once you click through it's deposit-first anyway. If I have to verify everything before I've even had a spin, I'm already over it.

Pretty much what I ran into on my last signup. The spins were credited fine, but only on a short list of games and the rules page mattered way more than the headline. Not a scam or anything, just way less simple than it first looked.
