question Free chip promo codes still worth the hassle?

Been around the online casino stuff for a fair while now, and the free signup chip offers feel way different than they used to. Years back you could find the odd little bonus code, have a muck around on the pokies, maybe cash a bit if the run was decent. Now half of them seem to come with cooked terms... massive wagering, tiny max cashout, certain games blocked, then ID checks before you can breathe. Bit rough.

I’m not whinging about the conditions existing, fair enough, but I’m curious what other regulars are seeing lately. Are you still finding any decent ones that actually credit properly and let you have a real crack, or is it mostly just bait to get people signed up? I’ve had a few where the code worked fine, then the playable games were so limited it wasn’t even worth the arvo.

Main stuff I look at now is whether the code is still active, max cashout isn’t laughable, and whether they sting you with weird terms after the fact. If anyone’s had a proper win from one recently, chuck it in here. Keen to hear which sites are still doing these in a halfway decent way and which ones are a straight bin job.

yeah I reckon that's pretty much where it's at now. The bit that does my head in is when the promo lands, then you open the terms and half the pokie lobby suddenly doesn't count anyway. Keen to know if anyone's found one lately where the rules are actually clear before you sign up, not buried after.

My little rule now is if I can't find the terms in about two clicks, straight in the bin. And I always look for the sneaky part about needing to chuck real money in before any cashout even becomes possible, because that's where a lot of the nonsense is hiding.

I wouldn't say it's all bait tbh. There are still a few worth using, just not as something to seriously chase. I treat them more like a free test run with a slim chance of something extra. Usually the quieter sites with a proper terms page are less painful than the flashy ones screaming at you from the homepage.
