Been around long enough to remember when the little signup freebies were actually half decent. These days I still check them out now and then, but heaps of them feel like a stitch-up once you read the fine print properly. Crazy wagering, tiny max cashout, certain pokies excluded, then they want full ID checks before you can touch a cent... even if it was just a few free spins to start with.
For me the big thing is whether the bonus money is sticky or if any winnings are actually withdrawable without jumping through bloody hoops. If I see 50x+ playthrough and a max cashout of 50 bucks, I usually don’t even bother. Same with offers that look decent on the front page, then you find out only 2 or 3 low-volatility games count. Bit of a waste of an arvo really.
Keen to hear what everyone else is seeing lately. Are there still any places doing fair signup freebies, or has that whole side of the market gone downhill? What do you reckon is still acceptable in the terms before it stops being worth the mucking around?
Also if anyone’s actually turned one of these into a real withdrawal recently, chuck in the details — wagering, max cashout, KYC, how long it took, all that. I trust player stories a lot more than the promo blurb, mate.
