question Freebie sign-up deals are getting worse, yeah?

Bit of a rant, but I reckon most of those free sign-up offers at casinos are pretty ordinary now. They splash a few spins or a tiny bit of credit in your face, then once you actually read the fine print it's 40x this, max cashout that, half the decent pokies excluded, and they want full ID before you've even had a proper look around... feels stitched up from the start.

What really does my head in is when people act like it's some ripper deal, but if you win anything decent they cap it so hard it barely matters. If I spin up a balance from their freebie, why am I only allowed to pull out crumbs? Makes the whole thing feel more like bait than anything useful.

Maybe I'm being harsh, but I'd honestly rather a casino just be upfront instead of dangling "free" stuff that's basically dead on arrival. Anyone found one lately that's actually worth the bother for Aussie players, or are you all skipping these now and waiting for a proper first deposit promo instead?

Do you bail as soon as they want docs up front, or will you still have a crack if the terms page is at least clear? I reckon that part tells you pretty quick what kind of headache the place is gonna be later.
