Bit of a rant/question... are those sign-up freebies actually worth bothering with anymore, or are most of them just bait with a million strings attached?
I keep seeing offers where you can have a crack before putting your own cash in, and nearly every time the wagering looks cooked, the max cashout is tiny, or they hit you with verification the second you finally jag a win. Feels like they make it sound easy, then you realise you need to jump through bloody hoops for twenty bucks and a dream.
I reckon half the time I’d rather just deposit a small amount somewhere decent than mess around with a “free” promo that takes all arvo to understand. Still, maybe I’m being too harsh and there are a few genuine ones getting around. Anyone found any that were actually fair, or is this whole part of the bonus scene mostly a waste of time now?

Been through a stack of them and the ones that sting aren’t even the wagering, it’s the weird little rules tucked away after you’ve already signed up. I’ve had freebies where only a handful of pokie titles counted, then you hit something decent and find out you played the wrong one for half the session. These days I only bother if the terms are right there on the promo page and I can verify first, otherwise I’d rather just chuck in a small deposit and save the arvo.

yeah that’s pretty much it. If the promo page doesn’t plainly say the cashout cap, excluded games and when they want ID, I move on. The decent ones are rare but you can usually spot them fast because they don’t make you dig through five pages of terms to work out what’s actually withdrawable.
