Bit of a rant but also genuinely asking... where are you lot getting your better race-day reads from now? Feels like heaps of the usual stuff floating around is just the same recycled favourites with a fancy write-up slapped on it. If a bloke just tips the top elect in every second race, what are we even doing.
I reckon half the so-called experts don’t say anything useful about tempo, barrier, track pattern, whether the thing is actually suited past 1400, any of that. Just waffle, then everyone piles in because the name sounds familiar. Drives me mental. I’d rather back my own roughie than follow someone punting like a scared accountant.
So who do you actually rate for decent mail or form opinions? Not after miracle spruikers or mug multi merchants... more keen on people or sites that can actually explain why a runner is live. Do you trust speed maps, late market moves, stable whispers, sectional stuff, or just watch replays and do your own work? Chuck in what works for you because I’m over the same weak Saturday picks every bloody week.
