question Track's changed heaps this arvo — what's your best play?

Bit of movement already with a few scratchings and some prices getting clipped, so I'm trying to work out if there's any proper late mail worth following for the meetings this arvo. One or two I liked early have drifted and now I'm second guessing myself...

If anyone's been watching the markets or heard anything on track pattern, jockey changes, stable confidence, whatever, chuck it in here. Keen to know if there's a roughie you've found too, not just the obvious shorties.

I'm mostly looking for the sort of info that pops up closer to jump time, the stuff that can save you from a dumb bet or point you at a sneaky one. What are you lot on today?

I reckon late mail gets overrated a fair bit. Half the time it's just punters seeing a price shorten and acting like someone knows something, when really it's just a pile-on. If the track isn't doing anything strange, I don't get scared off a drifter that easily.

yeah agreed with that. Once they get smashed in, everyone talks themselves into taking a bad price and calling it smart money. I'd rather trust the map than chase a horse just because the market got noisy.

My best result lately has just been waiting and watching the first couple. You usually get a decent read pretty quick on whether they're running on or if the ones up front are hard to reel in, then a few bets just rule themselves out. Doesn't find miracles but it stops those dumb impulse plays.
