Been going down a bit of a rabbit hole on stake plans for pokies lately... stuff like keeping the same bet the whole session, bumping it up after a win, or trying to claw back a rough patch by stepping it up after a few dead spins. I’m not expecting some secret cheat code or anything, I know the reels don’t care, just curious if anyone here actually sticks to one and reckons it helps.
I always tell myself I’ll keep it simple, then after a dry run I start thinking ah stuff it, maybe just a small increase for a few spins. Next minute the whole plan’s out the window. Bit of a killer. Feels like the only real benefit might be stopping yourself from going troppo with the bankroll, but even that depends on whether you stick to it.
What do you lot do? Flat stake all the way, press it when you’re up, or just wing it depending on the arvo? Keen to hear what people have tried and whether any of it actually made your money last longer, or if it’s mostly just punter brain doing laps.

Only thing that’s ever helped me is picking the spin size before I start and not touching it. Once you start nudging it up after a dead patch you’re basically arguing with a machine, mate. I bail the second I catch myself trying to get the last few losses back because that’s where it goes sideways fast.

I keep a note in my phone with what I started on so I can’t pretend I didn’t drift. Sounds silly but it stops that slow creep where the spins get bigger and you only notice when the balance looks ugly.

yeah but I sort of disagree with the hard rule of never changing anything mid session. If you decided before you started that you’d only lift it a bit when you were already ahead, is that really the same as chasing after a rough run? Genuinely curious how people separate those two, because in my head they feel pretty different.
