Been seeing heaps more chat lately about proper punting setups again — spreadsheets, staking plans, little models for AFL/NRL lines, even blokes automating bits of it. Feels like it’s everywhere at the moment, not just the usual tipster carry-on.
What caught my eye was all the talk around bookies getting twitchy with accounts that look too organised. A mate reckons if you stop betting like a mug and start backing the same markets at the same times every week, they’re onto you pretty quick. Dunno if he’s exaggerating or not, but it does feel like the whole scene’s shifted a bit.
I’m not talking miracle wins or those “lock of the day” muppets either. More the boring stuff that’s meant to grind away over a season — set rules, same stake sizing, no chasing after a rough Saturday arvo. Anyone here still doing that with decent results, or are the edges mostly gone now?
Keen to hear what people are seeing, especially on local comps. Are these setups actually getting sharper, or is it just more noise because every app and punting group is flogging one now?
