Been seeing heaps more chatter lately about progressions and staking plans popping up again - Martingale stuff, Paroli, little bankroll charts, all that. Not just random forum posts either, a few videos and tip pages in the last week or two. Felt a bit like this old-school stuff had gone quiet for ages, then suddenly it's back in everyone's feed.
I'm curious if anyone here actually uses any of it on pokies, or if it's mostly just recycled content dressed up to look new. I get the appeal of having some sort of structure instead of just winging it, but with slots being what they are, I dunno how much it really changes besides how fast your balance goes north or south.
Do you blokes stick to flat stakes, increase after a bonus hunt, drop back after a few dead spins, anything like that? Or is all this recent talk just noise? Keen to hear what people are seeing because I swear this topic's doing the rounds again for some reason.

I reckon it changes a bit more than that, just not in the magical win-more way people sell. If I've got a rule for when I bump up or pull back, I do way less dumb tilt stuff and the session feels cleaner. Doesn't beat the reels, just keeps my head from wandering - do you count that as useful or nah?

Seen this movie a few times tbh. Every few months the old doubling/chasing charts come back around with a fresh coat of paint and newer players think they've found some edge. I tried all that ages ago and it always ended with me forcing extra spins, so now it's flat stake or I log off.

Yeah the bit I never buy is the whole 'after a run of dead spins, now it's ready' chat. That's where it starts sounding pretty suss to me, because the machine doesn't owe you a bonus after being stingy.
