question Anyone else seeing heaps more bookie write-ups lately?

Bit random, but over the last week or two I keep seeing fresh rundowns and rankings for the main betting apps popping up everywhere. Feels like there’s been a spike all of a sudden, especially with footy on and everyone punting a bit more.

Some of them look half decent at a glance, then you read a few lines and it’s the same copy-paste stuff again... welcome bonus, nice layout, easy to use, blah blah. Doesn’t tell you the stuff punters actually care about, like whether they mess you around on withdrawals, how painful the ID check is, if the app falls over during live bets, or if they start limiting you the second you jag a few wins.

I’m keen to know what people here actually trust when they’re checking out a new bookie. Do you even bother reading those outside write-ups, or just go off forum posts and your own crack at it? I’d rather hear from real people who’ve used Sportsbet, TAB, bet365, Neds, Dabble, whoever, than some polished page that says every site is amazing.

If you’ve found any genuinely useful breakdowns, chuck them in here. Or just say what you look for first when sizing one up. For me it’s payout speed and whether the app turns to mush on a busy arvo.

I dunno mate, I still skim those write-ups if it's a bookie I haven't touched. Not because I trust the ranking, just to see if they talk about anything real like live market suspensions or weird bet limits. If it's all bonus waffle I close it.
