Keep seeing people say martingale is dead and yeah ok mathematically I get it, house edge is still there, no system beats probability etc. But in real play I keep having these sessions where flat betting just bleeds me out slowly, while doubling after losses at least gives me a shot to get out even fast. Until it doesn't... and then one ugly streak wipes the whole thing. That's the part doing my head in.
What I'm stuck on is whether the problem is the system itself or just that table limits + normal-person bankroll make it impossible long term. Like if you start small enough and quit early, is it still just a trap with better marketing lol? Same with reverse progressions, they feel smarter because you're pressing wins not chasing, but then the win rate gets weird and one bad run kills momentum. Feels like every betting system works right up until the exact moment it really, really doesn't so... idk
