question Spent a week mucking around with flat spins vs little stake jumps

Had a bit of a fiddle this week with a few different ways of staking on pokies, mostly just to see if any of them actually felt better in real play. Nothing fancy, just the usual stuff people talk about - same bet the whole session, bumping it up a touch after a hit, and the dodgy one where you keep increasing after losses. Wasn't expecting miracles or anything, just curious.

Flat spins were easily the least stressful for me. Bit boring maybe, but my balance didn't get smashed as quick and I could hang around longer. The small step-up one was kinda fun for a while, especially when a decent feature landed not long after, but hard to tell if that was doing anything or if I just got lucky for five mins. The loss-chasing style... yeah nah, bankroll disappeared bloody fast once the dead patches hit. No surprise there really.

What I did like was that having some sort of routine stopped me from randomly chucking the stake up out of frustration. That's probably the only real upside I've found so far. Doesn't seem like any pattern changes what the machine is gonna do, but some of them maybe help with discipline?

Anyone here found a staking approach that actually suits pokies without turning into a mess by the end of the session? Keen to hear what people stick to, especially if you've tried a few and binned the ones that looked good at first.

Yeah I reckon that's the main thing. Soon as people start acting like some pattern is gonna outsmart the reels I tune out. They don't care what happened five spins ago. Having rules is still useful though, mostly so you don't tilt and start jacking the bet up.
